Sporting Activities in the Pyrennes

Adventure Park

Just a 5 minute drive away in Cierp Gaud you will find an adventure park crammed with activities for all ages from 3 - adult. Rafting

Also 5 minutes away in Fronsac you will find a base from which can explore the river Garonne. Antignac rafting offers you the opportunity to try rafting, canoeing and kayaking. Parapenting

From the heights of Superbagneres in Luchon, you can enjoy the views of the highest peaks in the pyrenees whilst in free fall. One of the ultimate experiences in the area, this is a must for the adventurous!!

Skiing

If ski-ing or snowboarding are your passion then look no further! Within an hours drive you will find 5 resorts catering for all levels of skier.

Just 20 minutes away in the beautiful spa town of Bagneres De Luchon you can take the cable car for an 8 minute ride to the resort of Superbagneres. Altitude 1800m. here you will find skiing to suit all levels with 28 pistes including 4 green, 11 blue, 7 red and 6 black runs. Other amenities include a snow park, luge area, ESF ski school and a 4 km cross country skiing loop. You will also find several restaurants and cafes.

At Le Mourtis just a 25 minute drive away you will find a superb family resort. At altitude 1420m-1860m you will find 22km of skiing including 8 green, 5 blue, 5 red and 2 black runs.  Other facilities here include ski school, crèche, sledging pistes and several cafes and restaurants. About a 45 minute drive away you will find the resort of Peyragudes. Altitude 1600m-2400m. This resort was used in the pre-title sequence of the James Bond Movie Tomorrow Never Dies!! Here you will find 45 km of lift served runs including 5 green, 20 blue, 17 red and 4 black runs. If you wish to travel a little further to the resort of St Lary Soulan, about an hours drive away you will discover 100kms of skiing. There are 55 runs including 7 green, 25 blue, 14 red and 9 black runs. You will also find 5 snow sport arenas a kids snow park and snow garden, ESF ski school, and crèche facilities. You may wish to cross over the border to ski in Spain. In the Val D’Aran you will find the resort of Baqueira Beret. The resort of King Juan Carlos, it is the largest of Spains Pyrenean resorts. 86 kms of  pistes await you including 4 green, 25 blue, 20 red and 5 black runs. Cycling

The whole of the area opens itself up beautifully for cyclists, whether it be just for pleasurable exercise or for the serious competion cyclist the Pyrenees lends itself perfectly. The Tour De France passed through the village and right past our door last year and it will pass through our area again this year. We are ideally situated to cycle many of the Cols featured in last years Tour De France. The Port de Bales, Col de Portillon, Col de Perysourde and Col Des Ares to name a few are all within easy reach from here. For those who like a real challenge you will find 70km of VTT trails which can be accessed from the top of Superbagneres.
